POSITION: ASSOCIATE SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING MANAGER

AS AN ASSOCIATE SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER, YOU WILL WORK CLOSELY WITH THE SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER DEVELOPING AND ENGAGING SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING STRATEGIES WHILE WORKING WITH THE TEAM TO CONCEIVE IDEAS AND EXECUTE INITIATIVES ACROSS A RANGE OF SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS. 


THE ROLE WILL INCLUDE RESEARCH VIA WEB BASED TOOLS AS WELL AS COLLATING AND ANALYZING DATA INTO DELIVERABLE STRATEGIC REPORTS.

YOU MUST BE PASSIONATE ABOUT SOCIAL MEDIA, DRIVEN AND HAVE THE ABILITY TO THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX IN THE PLANNING OF POTENTIAL MARKETING STRATEGIES AND TACTICS.

 

Summary of Position:


The Community Manager is an appointed administrator for clients’ corporate social media communities (i.e. Facebook Page). The Community Manager is responsible for moderating User Generated Content that appears and escalating any issues to the appropriate internal/client teams.

Key Competencies
 

    • Undergraduate degree in marketing, media studies, communications, public relations, social science or other relevant field OR the equivalent by experience

    • 2 to 3 years of experience managing social media platforms or communities for brands

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both in Kinyarwanda and in English

    • Strong analytical skills and the ability to multitask and work independently using own initiative

    • Have a thirst for exploring new technologies, which can be used to add value to existing and new client accounts

    • Ability to work collaboratively with all teams internally and externally to develop ideas, build connection plans and execute communications in various social media channels

    • Strong reporting skills

    • Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds

    Key Responsibilities
     

    Community Strategy 30%

    • Assist with creation, conception, and presentation of social media strategy and integrated marketing campaigns.

    • Interpret the direction of strategy/planning and creative leads.

    • Communicate and coordinate client service, production and strategy/planning teams ensuring that community strategy supports overall brand goals and objectives.


    Management & Moderation 60%

    • Listening & Reporting

      • Utilitze social listening tools to generate insights

      • Summarize insights and conversations to create actionable, client-facing reports that lead to optimization

    • Publishing

      • Create and maintain Content Calendars, including writing updates for multiple social platforms

      • Post relevant content in accordance with Content Calender

    • Moderation

      • Review user generated comments and posts in a quick and timely manner

      • Respond to comments, when appropriate, in order to foster a positive community and add value to the user’s experience.

      • Enforce the Social Media Guidelines as defined by the brand.

      • Escalate User Generated Content, where appropriate, to internal and client stakeholders.

    Team leadership 10%

    • Participate constructively in inter-department and cross-service line communications

     

    Prerequisites

    • Actively participates in a wide variety of social media activities such as blogging, community development and management, social bookmarking, commenting, etc.

    • Understanding of popular social networks – design, functionality, users

    • Demonstrated ability to produce community management guidelines and documents that reflects the holistic understanding and implementation of the role of social media and its effects.

    • Proficiency in PowerPoint and presentation tools and skills.

    • Proficiency in social listening tools

    • Exceptional communication skills within the agency team.

    • Very high attention to detail.

    • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

    POSITION: GRAPHIC DESIGNER

    Illume is looking for a creative graphic designer with up-to-date knowledge to interpret our clients’ needs and to design solutions with high visual impact. Our goal as a Communications Agency is to ensure that our clients’ messages are conveyed in a clear, creative, powerful manner. We provide the tools to help our clients tell their stories.
     

    Summary of Position:

    You will work on a variety of products, including corporate identities, communication campaigns, websites, books, magazines, product packaging, and tools for exhibitions, among others. You will work directly under the Head Graphic Designer and with the Creative and Art Directors. You will collaborate with all members of the Illume team and be expected to participate in creative sessions and brainstorms.

     

    Key Competencies
     

      • An undergraduate degree

      • Experience working in the graphic design field

      • Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality

      • Professionalism regarding time, costs and deadlines

      • Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio

      • Ability to design for print as well as digital

      • Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas

      • Ability to handle feedback and rejection

      • Up to date with industry leading software and technologies (In Design, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop etc)

      • Highly proficient in all design aspects

         

      Key Responsibilities
       

      • Designs and produces art and copy layouts for material to be presented by visual communications media, such as books, magazines, newspapers, television, electronic media and packaging.

      • Designs media in a wide variety of styles that correspond to the clients needs.

      • Interacts with design and art directors.

      • Adheres strictly to client budget and time constraints.

      • Presents new ideas to members of the team.

      • Monitors projects through all phases of production.

      • Develops designs that are on strategy and reflect brand’s personality.

      • Cultivate a solid body of work

      • Create design briefs that record requirements and clients’ needs

      • Schedule project implementation and define budget constraints

      • Work with a wide range of media and use graphic design software

      • Think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics and layouts

      • Prepare rough drafts and present your ideas

      • Amend final designs to clients comments and gain full approval

      • Work as part of a team with account managers, content developers, designers, photographers, and stylists.

       

      Prerequisites

       

      • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred.

      • Four or more years of work experience in the graphics design field required.

      • Ability to press check preferred.

      • Understanding of printing process, photography, illustration and typography preferred.
